From the resource that brings a writing conference to NCW each spring and hosts writing events throughout the year, Write On The River invites you to our fall networking event, Writers Meeting Writers. Dozens of local writers have enjoyed “Four Minutes of Fame,” reading original prose or poetry to an informal audience. It’s not a slam, a workshop, or a competition, but a great way to air work in-progress (or published) and to meet other writers. Join us this time at Weeds Cafe at 201 Cottage Avenue in Cashmere.

Area writers will read their original work aloud from 7-9 pm however, you are invited to come at 6:30 to enjoy dinner, snacks and/or drinks from the café, socialize and claim a prime seat. This is a great opportunity to share, inspire and meet new like-minded acquaintances.

You may sign up for a “rapid reading” time (four full minutes at the microphone) or you may just come along to listen. Pieces are accepted from any genre. Bring your friends and writing buddies. It’s informal, easy, and FREE!
